Our Mission

Top Table is a business founded on the idealism that customer satisfaction is merely a stepping stone to customer delight and in a competitive market where many organisations can offer a solution to weddings, event management and catering, Top Table’s structure, service and skills are focussed on exceeding expectations.

Our History

The business was started in 1989 by Annette Glynn and David Ross. Working together at a number of corporate locations in Manchester city centre, they both realised a greater potential to their skills and after a number of extremely successful events for blue chip clients Top Table was born. Now, many years and hundreds of weddings and events later, the ethos of the business is unchanged and the focus remains on providing the finest cuisine and  wedding and event management with unparalleled service and personalisation.

Excellent question! .. There’s always a great deal of choice in any market and catering, weddings and events is no exception. We understand that you might have a decision to make if you’ve not experienced Top Table before! Everything you need for your day is included in the catering we offer. This includes:

Usually we can meet you at the wedding or event venue, timings will depend on the schedule of the venue but we’ll see you as soon as we can!

If this is not possible you can visit our offices in Altrincham or in certain circumstances we can come and visit you. Our office opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm unless we’re at a wedding or event so give us a call and pop by!

When it comes to your wedding or event, we will tailor your menu to your exact requirements. We can offer your guests a choice of menu on the day, but as we will need to overstock for the preferences, the costs will be greater.

We often design menus around client and guests’ allergies and intolerances. When this is not possible, we will always try and supply individuals with a different dish to which they would have a problem.

We can cater for all clients’ needs including, but not limited to vegetarian, vegan, coeliac, pescatarian, lactose intolerance and nut allergies.

Everything you need for your day is included in the catering we offer. This includes:

Your bespoke Wedding Menus served at agreed points during your day
Any requested wines or bar items
Personalised planning service with a dedicated Top Table Wedding Planner
Top Table fully trained staff – NO agency staff

That’s why we’re here!… We find that when we can organise your whole day, everything runs smoothly… if we know the other suppliers on the day we can ensure full co-ordination of the many elements that make up your perfect day. We’re happy to work with any other supplier if you have something in mind, but please let us help you choose your suppliers if they are an ‘unknown quantity’!

You can have whatever you want!.. however, we are usually asked to make the announcements on the day. Your dedicated wedding planner will take on the role of the Master of Ceremonies and as they are the central point of contact, you know that whatever they have to say.. it will be spot-on.

Absolutely… we don’t do our own cakes, because we source from wedding cake specialists… but you won’t be disappointed. We can source anything from multi-tiered traditional cakes to personalised creations and even cheese wedding cakes!

We can also supply you with the catering needs of the ‘cutting the cake’ knife, stand and cake dressing (room themed).

Whatever your ideal venue, we can help you find it. Besides our regular venues we have a large number of places of different sizes and locations we call upon to host your occasion.
